There is a real need for people to step in and help the impoverished communities on the outskirts of Cape Town. Not only will your physical efforts in volunteering help uplift the lives of the community, but your direct 50% financial contribution to the improvement of facilities will have an even greater impact.

All money goes DIRECTLY to the project!
Chill & Surf Volunteers is a different kind of volunteer program. Firstly, it is a fraction of the cost of many other volunteer initiatives, with 50% of the Project Fees going directly to assist Work For Love in bettering its program. Money could be used to buy art materials, sports equipment, help with the food kitchen etc. You as the volunteer will be able to have a say where your contribution is used. This is unique to Ubuntu Volunteers, as we take ZERO commission for facilitating the program..

Lots of Free Time!
Its not all work and no play! You will be expected to work 5 hrs a day, 5 days a week. The rest of the time is free for you to explore the rugged nature of the South Peninsula, Its about having a good time in a new country, and making a difference.

Fun Excursions!
A host of fun and interesting activities can be arranged from your accommodation! Try surfing at the nearby beaches, tour Cape Town, Wine-tasting tours, Cable-Car up to the top of Table Mountain and so much more!

Meet interesting people at Chill & Surf!
Your accommodation during your trip will be at Chill & Surf, where you will get to meet other people travelling through The Fairest Cape.

Work Description
You will be working with the Waldorf Outreach team building classrooms, decks as well as other areas where your help may be needed. An extensive network has been created with other organisations in the valley i.e.creche support program in which volunteers are providing educational and/or stimulating input on a weekly basis.There is a huge need for regular stimulation amongst Masiphumele (local township) children.

Accommodation
At Chill & Surf you have the choice of either shared (dorm) rooms or private rooms. The lodge is in a natural setting, with sweeping panoramic views over the ocean. There is a big self-catering kitchen for you to prepare your own food, but it might be hard to resist Corn's yummy evening dinners.


Meals
This is a self-catering option to give the lowest possible price, with full kitchen facilities and supermarkets a short ride away. Fantastic evening meals are available for purchase in the Bar 7 days a week.

Project Costs
Included: Airport transfers (CT) bicycle, free surfing lesson, all accommodation, financial contribution to project.
Not Included : Flight tickets, food and drinks, excursions.
